Terms of Use

By accessing or using the Life Transition Compass mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use the App. You must be at least 18 years old to use this App.
1. Nature of the Service
Life Transition Compass provides tools for personal reflection, self-assessment, decision-making support, and structured journaling. The App is designed as a self-guided reflection tool.
It does not provide medical advice, mental health treatment, therapy or counseling, or legal or financial advice. All decisions and actions taken based on use of the App are your sole responsibility.

3. User Accounts
You may create an account using Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and all activity that occurs under it. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. User Content
You retain full ownership of all content you create within the App, including reflections, journal entries, and responses. By using the App, you grant Lil on Life & Co. a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely to provide the service. We do not read or access your personal reflections.
5. Data Storage and Privacy
The App uses Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore (Google Firebase) to store your data. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not use analytics tools, advertising tracking, or behavioral data collection.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
The App offers optional paid subscriptions:
Monthly Plan: $8.99/month
Annual Plan: $50/year
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date and are billed through your Apple ID account. You may cancel at any time through your Apple account settings. All payments and refunds are handled in accordance with Apple App Store policies.
7. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at lifetransitioncompass@lilonlife.com. We will process requests within 30 days.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App for unlawful purposes, attempt to access other users' data, interfere with or disrupt the App, or reverse engineer or exploit the system.
9. Service Availability
We aim to provide a reliable experience, but we do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available. We may modify or discontinue features at any time without notice.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lil on Life & Co. is not liable for decisions made based on App use, indirect or consequential damages, or loss of data or personal outcomes. Use of the App is at your own risk.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lil on Life & Co. from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Acknowledgment
By using Life Transition Compass, you acknowledge that you are responsible for your own decisions and actions, that the App is a reflection tool and not a professional service, and that you have read and understood these Terms.
